Nied Fitness

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 23, 2026

Nied Fitness (“we,” “us”) builds an adaptive fitness app. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It describes the data we actually collect — including your fitness and health-related data and your Virtual Coach conversations — not generic boilerplate.

Information we collect

  • Account information — your email, name, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
  • Fitness & health-related data — the data you create using the app: workouts and sessions, exercises, sets, reps, and weights, goals, equipment, and any body metrics or training-status notes (such as soreness) you choose to record.
  • Virtual Coach conversations — the messages you send the Coach and the AI-generated replies you get back.
  • Usage & diagnostic data — product-analytics events about how features are used (keyed to an opaque account identifier, never your email) and technical error diagnostics that help us keep the app working.
  • Reports and feedback — when you send us a report, we store what you write, any screenshots you attach yourself, your follow-up messages, and a fixed set of technical context captured with the report: the page you were on, the app version, your device and browser type, screen size, the last few console error messages, which app features were enabled for your account, and your subscription tier. We never attach your workouts, nutrition, body data, or Coach messages to a report, and we never capture your screen automatically — screenshots are only what you choose to attach.
  • Payment information — handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We never receive or store your full card number.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide and operate the app, power the Virtual Coach and session planning, process subscriptions, keep the service secure and reliable, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your health-related data for advertising.

The Virtual Coach and your data

The Virtual Coach (“the Coach”) is our AI chat feature. When you use it, your messages and the relevant training context needed to answer (such as your current goal, recent sessions, or personal records) are sent to our AI provider, OpenAI, to generate a response. OpenAI processes this as our service provider and does not use it to train its models. We do not send your Coach conversation content to our analytics tools.

Analytics and error monitoring

We use PostHog for product analytics and error monitoring to understand how the app is used and to detect problems. Events are tied to an opaque account identifier — never your email or health data — and your Coach conversation content is excluded.

How we share information

We share data only with the service providers that help us run the app, and only as needed to provide the service:

  • OpenAI — powers the Virtual Coach (see above).
  • PostHog — product analytics and error monitoring.
  • Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing.
  • Vercel and Neon — application hosting and our database.

We do not sell your personal information or share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Your health-related data

We treat the fitness and health-related data you record as sensitive. We do not sell it, and we do not share it for advertising. It is used to provide the app’s features and is shared only with the providers listed above to operate the service.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings, which permanently removes your personal data — your profile, workouts, Coach conversations, reports and their attachments, and related records — from our systems. Limited billing records may be retained by our payment processor as required for financial and legal purposes.

Report screenshots have their own clock: while a report you sent is still open, its screenshots are kept so we can fix the problem. Once the report is resolved or closed, we delete the screenshot files one year after it settled(the report’s text keeps a note that images existed). If a report is reopened, the clock stops until it settles again.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise the core of these rights directly — editing your profile and deleting your account in-app — or by contacting us at the address below.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as your theme, and analytics described above. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.

Children

Nied Fitness is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
